Abelia Biflora, also known as Dragon Wood. Growing in Shanyin, it is most famous in Wutai Mountain, a Buddhist holy place in China. Each bead has six naturally formed lines. Abelia Biflora wood is one of the materials highly praised by Tibetan Buddhism. Because of its natural six-way texture, it symbolizes the six-character mantra (that is, the six-character mantra: Om Mani Padme Hum), and has a very strong blessing of Buddha nature. Home-guarding and warding off evil spirits, keeping safe and eliminating troubles at the same time. Therefore, the beads made of Abelia Biflora wood are also called Buddhist wooden beads by the local people.
