Jingdezhen Porcelain

Often called the “Porcelain Capital” for its important role in the domestic and international ceramic industry, Jingdezhen is renowned for its ancient porcelain production that stretches back more than 1,700 years. The most important ceramic production centre in China, Jingdezhen produces high quality porcelain that is highly appreciated both in China and worldwide. For hundreds of years, porcelain travelled over land and by sea along the Silk Road to different parts of the world, acting as a medium to facilitate the cultural and commercial exchange between the East and the West.

Linglong Porcelain: One of the four famous porcelains in Jingdezhen

linglong ware, Chinese porcelain made in the Ming (1368–1644) and Qing (1644–1911/12) dynasties and characterized by pierced ornamentation.
Linglong porcelain is the treasure of Jingdezhen ceramic art. It has always been appreciated and praised by people for its unique charm of translucence, simplicity and elegance, as well as its advantages of long-lasting wear resistance, no lead poisoning and difficult to conduct heat. It is made on the porcelain body through engraving. The carving process involves carving out many regular "exquisite eyes" and then applying glaze and firing. These holes become translucent bright holes, which are very beautiful and are known as "porcelain with stuck glass".
